For those of you who have never been, Souplantation is a buffet of what most people would consider "side dishes." These include soups, salads, pasta, and freshly baked bread. It's where I go when I want all-you-can-eat without feeling too guilty about it.
I love Souplantation. I used to go for lunch there at least once a week. One of the best things you can do at a buffet that provides unlimited ingredients is to come up with your own creations! I found the recipe for this creation online several years ago and have been making it at all of my Souplantation visits ever since.
First, you grab a piece of cornbread from the baked goods section and place it in a soup bowl.
Next, go to the soup section and look for the deep kettle chili. Get enough to submerge the cornbread.
You're nearly done. Now if you would like, top it off with some sour cream, cheese, and green onions. I prefer to mash and mix it all before I eat it.
